Bastien Mackels wins his third Victory in Lausitzring!

The Lausitzring was the place to be for the 5th race weekend in the IDM Superbike championship. Even though this is not Bastien’s favourite racetrack, he was very confident at the start of the weekend. Once again, he demonstrated how professional he is.
His mental strength enabled him to concentrate and keep focus in order to take a maximum of points and decrease the gap between him and his eternal competitor Ilya Mikhalchick.
He wins the first race after an amazing come back and finishes second in the second race after an exciting race-start where he and Ilya fought for the first place.
Bastien: I am extremely happy with the outcome of the race. My team choose the right tires for me, allowing me to ‘save’ them so that I was able to attack at the end of the race and win. Even though I had to settle for the second place in race two, I really had great fun. What I will remember from this weekend is the fact that I have never been as fast as today here, and that my laptimes in the race were faster than the one’s of Reiterberger last year. And Reiterberger is definitely the reference in the IDM superbike. We still have two races to go but I am confident. I can promise you one thing: I’ll do the utmost to win the title! Once again I want to thank my team for making all this happening!”

Bastien Mackels décroche sa troisième victoire au Lausitzring!
Ce weekend se déroulait la cinquième manche du championnat d'IDM Superbike sur le circuit de Lausitzring. Même si ce n'est pas le circuit favori de Bastien, il s'y rendait confiant.
Tout au long de ce weekend, Bastien a pu faire une belle démonstration de ses qualités de pilote professionnel. Grâce à sa préparation mentale, il a pu se concentrer pleinement et mettre en place une tactique sans faille pour récolter un maximum de points, et ainsi réduire l'écart entre lui et son concurrent direct, Ilya Mikhalchik, actuellement premier au classement général.
Bastien gagne la première course après une belle remontée et une attaque précise; et il termine la seconde manche sur la deuxième marche du podium après un début de course très disputé pendant laquelle le public a pu assister à des changements de leader à plusieurs reprises.
Bastien: "je suis très satisfait de mon weekend de course. Tout d'abord, mon équipe m'a bien conseillé sur le choix de mes pneus, ce qui m'a permis de les préserver pour pouvoir attaquer vers la fin de course, ce que j'ai réussi à faire. Je me suis bien amusé lors de la deuxième manche et même si j'ai du rendre mes armes vers la fin de la course pour assurer un maximum de points, je suis très heureux. Non seulement je n'ai jamais été aussi rapide sur ce circuit, mais j'ai surtout fait de meilleurs chronos en course que Reiterberger, qui était une vraie référence en IDM Superbike l'année dernière. Il reste encore deux weekends de course, et j'ai pleinement confiance en mon équipe et moi-même. Vous pouvez compter sur moi, je ferai tout ce qui est possible pour remporter ce championnat. Un grand merci à mon équipe, car ils font un travail hors pair. Sans eux, je ne pourrais pas faire ce que je fais". Rendez-vous les 8 et 9 septembre prochains sur le circuit d'Assen pour l'avant dernière manche du championnat!

Bastien Mackels haalt zijn derde overwinning binnen op Lausitzring
De Lausitzring was the place to be voor het vijfde raceweekeinde in het Duits kampioenschap. Ook al is dit niet het lievelingscircuit van Bastien had hij er alle vertrouwen in. En terecht, want hij heeft opnieuw zijn talenten als professionele coureur laten zien.
Dankzij zijn mentale sterkte is Bastien erin geslaagd om zich ten volle te concentreren en zo een maximum aan punten binnen te rijven met maar één doel : de gap tussen hem en zijn eeuwige concurrent Mikhalchik te verkleinen.
Hij wint de eerste wedstrijd na een mooi inhaalbeweging en een goed getimede aanval, en eindigt tweede in de tweede wedstrijd na een spannende start van de wedstrijd waar hij en Ilya afwisselend de leiding hadden.
Bastien : Ik ben uiterst tevreden van mijn weekeinde. Mijn team heeft de juiste bandenkeuze gemaakt waardoor ik ze kon sparen om op het einde van de wedstrijd in de aanval te gaan en de overwinning op mijn naam te zetten. De tweede wedstrijd was pure fun, ook al heb ik me tevreden moeten stellen met een tweede plaats. Wat ik vooral onthoud is dat ik nooit eerder zo snel was op dit circuit, én vooral dat ik sneller was dan Reiterberger vorig jaar. En Reiti is voor mij dé referentie is. Er blijven nog twee wedstrijden over, en ik heb alle vertrouwen in mijn team en mezelf. Jullie kunnen op mij rekenen: ik zal er alles aan doen om die titel in de wacht te slepen. Ik kan mijn team maar niet genoeg bedanken. Zonder hen was dit allemaal niet mogelijk. ”
